Works from the European, American, and contemporary Californian avant-gardes: Mauricio Kagel's Con Voce, Gerard Grisey's Solo Pour Deux, Anton Webern's Four Pieces for violin and piano, op. 7, John Cage's Concert for Piano and Orchestra, and premieres by Matt Ingalls and David Bithell.

Next we showcase composer-performer Scott Rosenberg, with a solo saxophone performance, his Hums for large ensemble, and a new wind quintet Eeert composed for sfSoundGroup. Composer-performer Kyle Bruckmann presents his electrifying solo work Gasps and Fissures, using oboe, English horn, amplification, and electronics to create "music of claustrophobic intimacy and impossible physicality." Plus, a new sfSound version of Gavin Bryars' conceptual/ambient classic The Sinking of the Titanic.

An evening of live electronic music, featuring Alvin Lucier's The Only Talking Machine of its Kind in the World (1969), Terry Riley's Dorian Reeds, a new laptop solo by Christopher Burns, and a variety of approaches to improvisation with live electronics.
