Subject: Ligeti works

Dear Sir or Madam,

As copyright owner we received information by the composer himself about the "re-mixes" of
the sfSound Group of some of his works.

Please confirm that they do not use any of these arrangements since we do not give permission
to arrange the original works. If we do not receive such a confirmation until June 24, 2002 we
are forced to take any legal steps.

Could you please give us the full address of the sfSound Group?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Volker Landtag

Mr Landtag,

The "Remix" term was used mostly for marketing the concert.
[it took place in an alternative gallery space and
 seated maximum 100 people]

We performed some movements from "10 pieces for woodwind quintet"
and we performed our own original improvisitory compositions
inspired by Mr. Ligeti's wonderful work. [hence "remix"]

My sincere apologies if there was any misunderstanding.
Matt Ingalls

Dear Mr. Ingalls,

I received your apologies about these arrangements.

However, a confirmation that you immediately stop any performing of arrangements of Ligeti
works is still missing. In addition to this we would be pleased to receive a copy of this special
arrangement.

I hope we shouldn't be forced to take any legal steps.

Looking forward to receive your confirmation until July 10, 2002 we remain

with best regards,
Volker Landtag

Dear Mr. Landtag,

I hereby declare that I and my colleagues will never perform any
so-called arrangements by Ligeti in the future.
By making this statement, I am not admitting to any previous
copyright infringements, nor am I admitting to ever performing
an "arrangement" as you suggest.

Sincerely,
Matt Ingalls
